Delfi wrote about this.
It is reported that the responsibility for these attacks was taken by the decentralized Russian hacker association Killnet, which has already carried out attacks on various sites registered in Latvia.
Journalists were informed that the IT infrastructure of the Saeima is adapted to such situations so that the consequences of the attack can be prevented as soon as possible. The specific attack used a DDoS, or type of distributed denial of service attack. Thousands of requests were sent to the website, which temporarily paralyzed the server.
They add that the number of cyber attacks in Latvia has increased significantly in recent months.
