Kremlin states they will not agree to freeze hostilities in Ukraine

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that it is premature to talk about a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, and the Russian Federation will continue the war until it achieves its goal

Peskov told about this in an interview with one of the Russian propaganda agencies.

When asked about Russia's preference among the proposed peace settlement plans, Peskov stated that it is premature to discuss it at this stage.

"We cannot discuss it yet as the conditions for a peaceful resolution are not in place. The 'special military operation' is still ongoing," Peskov commented.

Furthermore, Vladimir Putin's press secretary emphasized that the conflict should not be frozen.

"Russia is currently considering options to conclude the 'special military operation' and secure its interests, accomplishing its objectives through the special military operation or other available means," Peskov explained.

He also highlighted that negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukrainian authorities are presently not possible.

"It is highly unlikely as any negotiations with the Russian Federation are prohibited," Peskov emphasized.
