Kremlin says Western pressure will not affect Russia's decision to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus

The spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov says that Russia will not change its decision to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus, despite the threat of sanctions

Russian media reported the information.

Vladimir Putin's press secretary made the statement when asked whether the negative reaction of the West would affect Moscow's position on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

"Such a reaction certainly cannot affect Russia's plans. The president explained everything in his statement in an interview on Saturday. There is nothing to add to it," Peskov said.
