Stoltenberg: Russia has lost 350,000 troops in Ukraine war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has lost more than 350,000 of its military killed or wounded
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a press conference in Brussels, DW reports.
He noted that the number of Russians killed or wounded in Ukraine has "significantly increased" recently. According to Western intelligence services, it has exceeded 350,000 people. At the same time, Stoltenberg did not specify the specific number of Russian military killed.
The NATO Secretary General also added that Russia is paying a very high price for "minor" gains in territory.
Stoltenberg emphasized that the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces made it possible to sink a significant part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, while Ukraine’s Air Force is shooting down important and expensive A-50 long-range radar and control aircraft in the air.
