Russia loses 870 soldiers, 18 artillery systems, tank in one day of war in Ukraine

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 4, 2025, are approximately:

• personnel – about 1,115,250 (+870);
• tanks – 11,230 (+4);
• armored combat vehicles – 23,299 (+1);
• artillery systems – 33,446 (+18);
• MLRS – 1,516 (+1);
• air defense systems – 1,222 (+0);
• aircraft – 427 (+0);
• helicopters – 346 (+0);
• tactical-level UAVs – 66,863 (+320);
• cruise missiles – 3,803 (+0);
• ships/boats – 28 (+0);
• submarines – 1 (+0);
• vehicles and fuel tanks  – 63,433 (+35);
• special equipment – 3,971 (+0).

The General Staff added that the data is being verified.

• On Saturday evening, October 4, the invading Russian army launched attack drones over the territory of Ukraine. As a result of the attack on Zaporizhzhia, a woman was killed and 9 other people were injured, including a teenager. In Lviv, there were power outages and fires.
