This was reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff on August 24.
The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 24.08.24 are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 606,490 (+1,160)
- tanks - 8,542 (+9)
- armored combat vehicles - 16,620 (+21);
- artillery systems - 17,349 (+42);
- MLRS - 1,169 (+2);
- air defense systems - 935 (+3);
- airplanes - 367;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 14,064 (+39);
- cruise missiles - 2,444 (+2);
- ships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- motor vehicles and fuel tankers - 23,383 (+54);
- special equipment - 2,911 (+1).
On August 23, it was reported that Russia had withdrawn some units of its troops from the Kharkiv region to the Kursk direction. At the same time, Russian army has enough forces and means to conduct assaults in the Ukrainian region.
