It's never been so hard in Bakhmut, situation is hellish – Ukrainian serviceman
Andriy Babichev, a soldier of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade from Bakhmut, said that the enemy is shelling the city with everything they have: Grads, artillery, mortars, aviation, and enemy manpower is attacking
He told this on Espreso TV.
"If the situation in Bakhmut is called red, I would say that it is double red. It is very hellish there. The city itself is being shelled. The enemy is shooting from everything they have: Grads, artillery, mortars, aviation. In addition, the enemy's manpower is being pulled up, covered by enemy aircraft. They approach in small groups of about 5-10 people and go to the broken houses, waiting for other groups to join them. And when the appropriate number of them accumulates, then they can move to a street or another building," said a soldier of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade.
Andriy Babichev noted that the 93rd Brigade, which is stationed in Bakhmut, is bearing all the air strikes and artillery fire, so it is very, very hard for Ukrainian defenders.
"The worst of it is coming from the northern side of the city. In my opinion, whether we will hold Bakhmut or whether it will stand depends on the brigades on the flanks, where the enemy is trying to cut off our ammunition supply. We are taking all measures to prevent this from happening. However, the situation is very difficult, it has never been so difficult in Bakhmut," Babichev said.
