ISW: Ukrainian forces strengthen grouping on Dnipro's left bank in Kherson region
Ukrainian troops carry out ground operations on Dnipro's left bank in the Kherson region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are strengthening the bridgehead and reinforcing their grouping
This was reported by analysts of the Institute for the Study of War.
Russian propagandists claimed that Ukrainian assault groups had tried several times to advance south of Krynky and fortified a bridgehead southeast of the settlement. Ukrainian forces also continue to strengthen their grouping in Krynky.
ISW noted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces also hold positions near Antonivskyi Bridge and near Kozachy Laheri, and effectively control the forests, islands and coastline along the Konka River.
"Geolocated footage published on December 5 confirms that Russian forces maintain positions on islands in the Dnipro River south of Veletenske, Kherson region (15km southwest of Kherson City). This footage does not suggest that Russian forces recently advanced in the area, however, and they have likely held these positions for some time," the analysts write.
- ISW writes that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing operations on the left bank of the Kherson region and are trying to advance south of Krynky.
