ISW reported the information.

It noted that Russian troops have advanced to the west of the railroad track near Stepove and near Novokalynove. They also advanced north of the industrial zone southeast of Avdiivka, and fighting is ongoing near the Avdiivka Coke Plant and the adjacent waste heap.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks near Stepove, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Sieverne and Pervomaiske. The Suspilne media outlet reported that the frozen ground near Avdiivka has already softened into mud, complicating both Russian and Ukrainian forces’ ability to operate vehicles. At the same time, the Ukrainian Tavriisk Group of Forces Spokesperson Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun stated that Russian forces are conducting glide bomb strikes with Su-35 aircraft near Avdiivka

In addition, on the left bank of the Kherson region, Ukrainian forces are holding positions on the eastern bank of the Dnipro River. Several Russian sources claimed that fighting continued near Krynky and that Russian aircraft and artillery continued to strike the area.

  • The spokesman for the joint press center of the Tavriisk Group of Forces, Oleksandr Shtupun, said that the Avdiivka coke plant was under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces.
