ISW confirms Ukraine's successes in Donetsk-Zaporizhia region border area
Ukrainian troops continue offensive actions in at least three directions and have advanced to the outskirts of Urozhaine village, Donetsk region

U.S. analysts point out that Ukrainian troops continue counteroffensives in at least three areas of the frontline and on August 10 advanced near the administrative border of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
In particular, geolocated footage released on August 10 shows that the Defense Forces crossed the Mokri Yaly River and advanced eastward to the southwestern outskirts of Urozhaine, Volnovakha district, on the border of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
The ISW noted that the Ukrainian General Staff also reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had achieved partial success in the direction of Urozhaine and south and southeast of Staromayorske.
What is known about the Ukrainian counteroffensive
- On June 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a counteroffensive on the southern frontline, continuing a series of offensives near Bakhmut and in other directions.

On June 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced the liberation of Blahodatne, Neskuchne, and Makarivka settlements, near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Brigadier General Dmytro Hereha, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Support Forces, said that in the occupied territories, the Russian invaders have set up a multi-echelon system of engineering barriers, which consists of several strips of 10 to 40 km each with a high density. This causes difficulties for the Defense Forces in conducting offensive operations in the southern direction.
