Iran declares support for Ukraine's territorial integrity
Iran supports Ukraine's territorial integrity and advocates for an end to the war through a political settlement
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stated this.
"With regard to Ukraine, we believe in the territorial integrity of every country, including Ukraine, which should be a priority for all countries based on international law. And, of course, we continue to emphasize the end of the war through political dialogue," the diplomat said.
What is known about Iran's position in Russia's war against Ukraine
From the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, Iran has been helping Russia, in particular by supplying Shahed attack drones.
In May, CNN noted that Iran was supplying Russia with more and more munitions through the Caspian Sea, and the West could not prevent it.
On June 5, the media reported on a contract for Russia to purchase artillery and tank shells, as well as missiles of various sizes from Iran.
On June 9, the White House announced that Iran plans to build a drone factory in Russia, with production expected to begin in 2024.
At the end of June, maritime expert Andriy Klymenko said that Russia was increasing its transportation from Iran through the Caspian Sea.
