Holding line near Kreminna is priority for Russia - British intelligence
Russia has built defensive structures near Kreminna and will give priority to holding the line here due to the area’s importance for troops’ logistical support in Donbas
This is reported by the military intelligence of the UK Ministry of Defence.
The review says that Russia has strengthened the front line in the area of Kreminna, Luhansk region, amid increasing pressure from Ukrainian forces. It is noted that Kreminna became quite vulnerable after the Ukrainian Armed Forces advanced westward through Lyman town in October.
"Russia has constructed extensive new defenses in the area and will likely prioritize holding the line here," the British intelligence said.
Intelligence stated, the main reason for the construction of defensive structures in this area is that this territory is of great logistical importance for supporting Russian troops in Donbas.
"The Kremlin claims that the “liberation” of this area is a core justification for the war," the report said.

Analysts stated that the vulnerability of Russia's current operational plan is that even just maintaining defensive operations along its long front line requires a significant daily expenditure of shells and missiles.
