Heavy positional fighting continues near Marinka, Avdiivka – Colonel Dmytrashkivskyi
Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesman for the Tavriisk Defense Forces' Joint Press Center, says that heavy positional fighting continues in the Marinka and Avdiivka directions
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Heavy positional fighting continues near Marinka and Avdiivka. The enemy forces are advancing in small groups. It should also be noted that over the past few days the Russian troops have been advancing without the support of equipment. However, we have information about the appearance of an entire tank brigade in the area of Avdiivka. Therefore, the occupiers may launch new attacks on our positions,” Dmytrashkivskyi said.
The colonel also added that the occupying Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of shelling
“There are no hostilities in the area of Vuhledar. However, the Russians are constantly shelling the town and the surrounding areas. Yesterday, the enemy attacked the town with aerial bombs. It should also be noted that the Russian army has increased the number of attacks. Only yesterday they made 494 attacks in the Donetsk region,” he added.

On April 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported that the invading Russian forces were trying to smuggle stolen grain out of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region and load it onto ships. The fiercest battles are for Bakhmut and Marinka, and the enemy is actively using cruise missiles in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
