This was stated by German Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Jäger at the Ukraine's Success Formula forum, Ukrinform reports.
"The defense industry of our country is also interested in building long-term strategic relations with your country. Our support is mainly directed to the air defense industry - Gepard, IRIS-T, Patriot," the German diplomat said.
He stressed that in this way Germany seeks to strengthen the defense of Ukrainian cities against enemy attacks.
"We are also making a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine's energy systems, in particular, we are supporting energy capabilities. We believe it is very important that this winter passes without any blackouts (in Ukraine - ed.)," Jäger said.
- In September, it was reported that German arms manufacturer Diehl Defence is seeking to increase production of the IRIS-T air defense system to meet demand due to Russia's war against Ukraine.
- In October, Germany provided Ukraine with an IRIS-T missile system.
