Germany announces EUR 1 billion spring aid package for Ukraine
At the Ramstein meeting, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has announced a spring package of military support for Ukraine, which will amount to EUR 1 billion
The German defense minister made the announcement during the 8th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Ramstein, an Ukrinform reporter informs.
"We are talking in general about a spring package amounting to more than EUR 1 billion," he said and added "Priority No. 1 is air defense, air defense and more air defense. Especially in terms of ammunition."
According to Boris Pistorius, Germany will send to Ukraine the Patriot system, 7 more Gepard self-propelled artillery systems, Iris-T SLM systems and guided missiles for them. In particular, logistics and training for Ukrainian defenders on infantry fighting vehicles and Patriot will be organized and will begin in late January.
