French LRU rocket system can bring troubles behind Russian enemy lines – defense expert Kyrychevskyi
By handing over the LRU rocket launcher system to Ukraine, France demonstrates that it is ready to give everything it can
Defense Express expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi said this on Espreso TV.
"The declared range of the LRU multiple launch rocket system is 84 km. It should be noted that this is a political step - France demonstrates that it is ready to give everything it can. France had only 12 such systems at the beginning of the war, and it turns out that it has already given us a quarter. This is despite the fact that France is also counting on these systems, ATACMS missiles should be there," he noted.
According to the expert, this is a political demonstration.
"On the other hand, one such machine can cause significant trouble to the Russian occupiers behind their lines. Somewhere there was a description of how our fighters work on a similar German Mars II machine - a salvo from one such system was enough to destroy an enemy echelon of up to 12 tanks immediately. At the very least, some BTG was left without fuel and that's with one salvo of this weapon. One such MRLS is a plus to our rocket salvo and a plus to the losses of the Russian occupiers," Kyrychevskyi concluded.
