This was announced by BFM TV and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Twitter.
“I had a long and detailed conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron about the current situation. I thanked him for the decision to transfer light tanks and (ACMAT armored personnel carriers, - ed.) Bastions to Ukraine, as well as for intensifying work with partners in the same direction,” Zelenskyy said.
According to the Ukrainian president, Kyiv and Paris agreed on further cooperation on strengthening Ukraine's air defense system and other defense capabilities.
After the talks between the two leaders, a representative of the Elysee Palace noted that France will send AMX-10 RC light wheeled tanks to Ukraine. At the same time, he did not give details about the number and terms of the planned deliveries.
