This was stated by Minister for European Affairs Benjamin Haddad in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche.
He emphasized that any peace agreement must include clear security guarantees capable of deterring future Russian aggression. According to the minister, France, together with the United Kingdom and partners from the so-called "coalition of the willing," is working on forming such guarantees.
"This, above all, means a strong Ukrainian army. Any demands for its ‘demilitarization’ are unacceptable," Haddad stressed.
He also stated that Paris is ready to play an active role in supporting security arrangements for Ukraine. At the same time, Haddad welcomed Donald Trump’s statement about the United States being ready to join such guarantees.
