Explosions in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv: fires start, three people injured
On the night of May 13, Mykolaiv came under Russian shelling, which resulted in a fire at an enterprise, a high-rise building and an educational institution, injuring three people
This was reported by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim on Telegram.
According to him, at 01:23 am, Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv, according to preliminary information, with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones.
"A five-story residential building was damaged as a result of the shelling and a two-story building at an enterprise was destroyed. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out at both facilities, which were promptly extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region. Three people were injured," Kim wrote.
He added that, according to the South Air Command, one attack UAV was shot down in the Mykolaiv region at night.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said the fire occurred at an enterprise. Residential buildings nearby were damaged, and three people were injured.
"Almost all the windows in one of the five-story buildings were smashed, and three apartments are on fire. One victim was taken away by an ambulance, two were treated on the spot."
