The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov reported the information on Telegram.
"In the morning, Russian troops in Melitopol had no time to sleep. There was a loud explosion in the city," the mayor informs.
Fedorov emphasizes that Russian forces must flee from Ukrainian lands.
"The occupiers must finally understand: it is time to leave the occupied territories. After all, there is only one ending for lovers of foreign land here - to be buried in it," the mayor added.
- On the afternoon of December 23, 2022, in the center of the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, a car of a Russian supporter who worked for the "police" was blown up, 2 people were injured.
- As of December 25, the Russian military did not allow residents of the temporarily occupied territories to leave by cars; they ordered locals to abandon their cars and walk to Zaporizhzhia on foot.
- On December 29, 2022, Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the press center of the South Operational Command, said on Espreso TV that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would continue to pressure Russian forces in the occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. AFU would put even more work into it for extended periods of time.
- On December 30, 2022, the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov said that the Russian occupation authorities do not pay salaries to Russian supporters on the temporarily occupied territories.
