Expert tells about unique weakness in Russian defense system

Political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky is convinced that the collapse of Russian infrastructure in Crimea will have a huge psychological and political impact, which will affect the regime's readiness to continue the war

"Now everyone is talking about the stalemate on the front line, the inability to overcome these minefields, etc. But there is an absolutely unique weakness in the Russian defense system - Crimea, the entire infrastructure and the entire grouping there. A sufficient number of F-16s will destroy this entire structure, along with the Crimean bridge. And this will not only be of enormous military importance, because the main supply goes through Crimea. It will have a huge psychological and political impact, which will affect the regime's willingness to continue the war," Piontkovsky said.

The political analyst is convinced that the US should strike Hezbollah and Iran.

"The second thing that the US should and can do, and which is also being prevented by the left-liberal campaign, is to strike jointly, to support Israel in striking Hezbollah and then Iran. It's clear that Iran is behind all the proxies that are attacking the US and Israel. We know that Israel was ready to strike as early as October 11. This will change the whole situation - a strike against Hezbollah, a joint strike by the Israeli and US Air Forces. Everything is now in the hands of the American leadership to win this war and solve the classic security problems of Europe and the Middle East for decades at minimal cost to the United States," he added.

The destruction of Novocherkassk landing ship

At night, on December 26, residents of Feodosia in Russian-occupied Crimea reported loud explosions over the city. Later, the head of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk, confirmed the information about the destruction of the large landing ship Novocherkassk.

Later, journalists noticed a large convoy of grain trucks on the Feodosia bypass road after the Ukrainian army attacked the port of Feodosia. It was moving in the direction of Kerch.

On December 29, Bloomberg wrote that strikes on the ports of the occupied Crimea forced Russia to relocate its Black Sea Fleet ships away from danger.
