Hungary disagrees with Ukraine's EU accession talks, but won't block process - Orban
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that he would not block Ukraine's accession to the EU, but he does not support it either
He said this in an interview with Funke, Frankfurter Allgemeine reports.
"Hungary does not agree with this accession process, but we do not block it and support the start of negotiations. The negotiations are 'a purely politically motivated process,'" Viktor Orban said.
According to him, it is necessary to first "study what the consequences will be if we accept a country at war, whose borders are not defined in practice."
He also spoke about the consequences of Ukraine's accession for EU agriculture.
"We are now starting negotiations without clarity, and this is not good," the Hungarian prime minister added.
