Kuleba announces start date for Ukraine's EU accession talks
Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, announced that negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union will begin on Tuesday, June 25

He shared this news on Twitter (X).
"I thanked 27 EU member states for approving Ukraine’s and Moldova’s negotiating frameworks. Our EU accession talks will kick off tomorrow," Kuleba said after addressing the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
The minister highlighted the significance of the 14th EU sanctions package to further weaken Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's military economy and welcomed the EU's steps to use frozen Russian assets for Ukraine's benefit.
"Separately, I emphasized the need to expedite military aid deliveries, especially air defense, and expand defense industrial output. We can and must defeat Russian aggression on Ukrainian soil to ensure long-term peace and stability throughout Europe," emphasized the Foreign Minister.
- The previous day, the European Union Council officially confirmed the negotiation framework for Ukraine and Moldova's EU accession.
