As a result of increased customs control in the EU, in particular in Poland, there are problems with the drone supply to Ukraine

Artem Viunnyk, director of the Athlon Avia company for the development and production of drones, said this on Espreso TV.

“Strengthening control in the EU and Poland leads to the fact that the average customs officer, who clears the cargo at customs or examines documents at the checkpoint, is reinsured several times. Because of this, we have problems with the supply of those components that, until October, traveled through Poland,” he noted.

Artem Viunnyk noted that, on the one hand, the strengthening of control is understandable, but on the other hand, it creates significant problems, particularly financial ones, because it is impossible to deliver drones on schedule and ensure the fulfillment of state contracts. This leads to fines from the customer.

“But, in principle, we have overcome most of these problems. I hope that in the near future we will learn to live with the new rules and requirements of the Polish side, because we have no other way out, we have to adapt,” the director stressed.

He added that civilian components cannot be transferred to Ukraine, because Polish customs officers believe that they have a dual purpose and require a license, which sometimes takes at least a month to obtain.
