Russian army loses 950 soldiers, 7 tanks and 31 artillery systems per day of war in Ukraine

Over the past day, 114 clashes took place on the frontline. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in 7 directions eliminating 950 soldiers

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to April 26, 2024, amounted to:

  • personnel – about 463,930 (+950) 
  • tanks – 7,262 (+7) 
  • armored fighting vehicles – 13,957 (+15)
  • artillery systems – 11,867 (+31) 
  • MLRS – 1,049 (+0)
  • air defense systems – 772 (+0)
  • aircraft – 348
  • helicopters – 325
  • UAVs operational-tactical level – 9,461 (+12)
  • cruise missiles – 2,119 (+1)
  • warships/boats – 26
  • submarines – 1 
  • vehicles and fuel tanks – 15,984 (+35)
  • special equipment – 1,962 (+16)

General Staff report: 114 clashes took place in the frontline, Russian forces attack in 7 directions

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian forces rebuffed 10 attacks near Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian militants conducted 20 attacks near Druzheliubivka, Kharkiv region; Makiivka, Serebryanske forestry, Luhansk region; Torske, Terny, Zarichne, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders fought off 26 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnekamianske, Novyi, Mykolayivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian troops beat back more than 30 attacks in the areas of Ocheretyne, Umanske, Nevelske, Keramik, Berdychi and Netailove in Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops near Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka and Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The Russian forces tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses 19 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian military attacked the positions of our defenders twice near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian forces keep on trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, they made three unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions.

Russian army launches 4 missile strikes and 75 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the last day, 114 clashes took place. In total, the Russian military launched 4 missile strikes, 75 air strikes, fired 66 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

Sumy; 7 settlements in Kharkiv region; 16 settlements in Donetsk region; 1 settlement in Zaporizhzhia region; 2 settlements in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 8 areas of Russian troops' concentration

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 2 control points, 8 areas of concentration of personnel and 3 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile troops struck a command post and an area of Russian troops' concentration.

  • The Russian occupation army continues its attempts to occupy Chasiv Yar. The capture of the town will allow Russia to launch further offensive operations against the towns that form a significant defense belt in Donetsk region.
