"Before war, Kherson was fed by three main power transmission lines. All of them were destroyed. Cost of destroyed infrastructure is UAH 1.5-2 billion, according to VS Energy's preliminary estimate. The estimate will be revised", Volodymyr Hetmanov, operations director of VS Energy International Ukraine, which manages "Khersonoblenergo", said.
According to his forecasts, electricity supply in liberated Kherson can be fixed within 14-21 days, if there are no unforeseen situations.
Hetmanov noted that Khersonoblenergo is concentrating its forces on power transmission line going from Mykolaiv.
"We will be able to restore this line as soon as possible", Hetmanov explained, noting that for this it is necessary to restore more than 70 spans of power transmission line and two supports.
