Duda tells in which city he advised Zelenskyy to accept Russia's capitulation
Polish President Andrzej Duda advised Volodymyr Zelenskyy to accept Russia's capitulation in Pereiaslav, where Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi formed an alliance with the Moscow Kingdom in 1654
This is informed by Wprost.
According to Duda, it would be symbolic to accept Russia's capitulation after its defeat in the war against Ukraine in Pereiaslav, Kyiv region. According to the Polish President, he directly told Zelenskyy about this at the time.
"I say: Volodymyr, looking at our history, how once these paths diverged, I ask you - when you defeat Russia, when the Russians come here kneeling to sign peace, then take them to Pereiaslav, let them sign peace with you. Let them cross out all those years of Soviet and Russian influence and this captivity from the time of tsarism until recently, from which you are now defending yourself again," Duda said during a visit to Latvia.
The President of Poland also said that he believes that thanks to common support, Ukraine will defeat the enemy.
