Drone attack sparks fire at Russian military plant in Arzamas
Early on the morning of August 11, drones struck the city of Arzamas in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region, reportedly targeting the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant

The Russian Telegram channel Mash reported the attack started around 3:55 a.m., with witnesses hearing three booms followed by a strong explosion. Eyewitnesses saw at least five drones flying at very low altitude.
According to SHOT, between four and seven explosions occurred in the city. Shortly after, videos surfaced on various Telegram channels, reportedly showing a drone flying over the Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant (APZ).
Early morning photos and videos showed a fire at the facility, but later images confirmed the fire had been extinguished.
Note: The APZ produces instruments for aviation and space industries along with civilian products such as gyroscopic instruments, control systems, onboard computers, steering drives, verification systems, flowmeters, and medical equipment, according to Russian sources.
