Deutsche Welle's Russian service spreads calls to recognize Ukraine as "terrorist state": Ukraine's Foreign Ministry demands reaction from German partners
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the German publication Deutsche Welle to urgently address the disinformation spread by their Russian edition
The spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, wrote about this on Facebook.
"At the moment, it is not clear to us why the Russian service of the German broadcaster plays along with Russian propaganda, manipulates quotes, as well as carries out a change of concepts regarding the causes and consequences of Russia's aggression against Ukraine", it is noted.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a number of examples with the materials of the Russian DW, which contained such theses as "recognize Ukraine as a terrorist state", "one mistake by Ukrainian defenders can provoke a nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant", "a ban on the entry of Russians to the West will not help to win Putin", "Vogue denied rumors about the publication of a photo of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun", and a photo of the Nazi Fuhrer next to the cover of the presidential couple.
Nikolenko added that Deutsche Welle is a state structure financed by German taxpayers.
"Due to the threats posed by Russian disinformation, the German government has already restricted the activities of the Russian propaganda channel RT on the territory of Germany. And we call on our German partners to respond to the narratives of Russian propaganda spread in DW's materials", he concluded.
