Defense ministry approves 2 new tactical machine gun systems for Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are set to receive a tactical complex including 7.62-mm PKM and MG42 machine guns, along with the Khyzhak tactical machine gun set, designed for ammunition supply
The Ministry of Defense reported the information.
In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive a tactical complex of up to 7.62-mm PKM and MG42 machine guns with a capacity of 500 rounds of RBPP-500, as well as a Khyzhak tactical machine gun set.
The Ministry notes that the Khyzhak is designed to accommodate and continuously supply machine gun belts armed with 7.62 x 54 mm cartridges for PK (PKM) machine guns, and the RBPP-500 tactical complex is designed to accommodate 7.62 x 51 mm cartridges for MG42 machine guns.
"Both systems have proven their reliability and efficiency after successful tests. The Ministry of Defense continues to work on supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including short- and long-range weapons. Thanks to the activities of the Ministry of Defense Accelerator, the procedure for approving developments for operation has been accelerated to 45 days," the statement added.

Also on August 3, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved a sample standard of a summer field suit for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
