Six Ukrainian publishers participate in Helsinki Book Fair
Ukraine participated in the Helsinki Book Fair, showcasing a national stand with books from six Ukrainian publishers

The event took place from October 24-27 and is one of the largest in the Nordic region, as reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications.
The Ukrainian stand featured books in Finnish, Ukrainian, and English from publishers including Vivat, Vihola, Rodovid, Teza, Old Lion Publishing House, and Vydavnytstvo.
Ukraine also organized five events at the fair, including “Preserving Memories for the Future,” “Accessibility through Illustrations,” “Uniqueness and Diversity of Ukrainian Borshch,” “Ukrainian Books Change the World,” and a conversation featuring Finnish writer Elina Hirvonen and Yevheniia Kuznetsova on the main stage.
- A branch of one of the world's most famous British publishing houses, Penguin, is working on an English translation of Oleksandr Mykhed's book The Language of War.
