Sky News reports.
Xi Jinping's plans were announced by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. Yesterday in Rome, he met with China's chief diplomat, Wang Yi, who told him about the leader's intentions.
During the war in Ukraine, China did not directly criticize Russia's actions and did not call it an aggressor. Although Beijing refused to sell weapons to Russia and did not directly intervene in the situation, it diplomatically coordinated its actions with Russia.

Steve Tsang, director of the SOAS China Institute, said that Beijing is not ready for a direct confrontation with Washington, and that China's support for Russia has clear limits.
