China's top diplomat arrives in Moscow
On February 21, China's top diplomat, Wang Yi, arrived in Moscow to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who was appointed last month as the top foreign adviser to Chinese leader Xi Jinping, is making the visit during an eight-day international tour.
"Russian-Chinese relations are very multifaceted and allied, the agenda is clear and very broad, so there is a lot to talk about," Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
CNN reports that according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the visit to Moscow would provide the countries with an opportunity to continue developing their strategic partnership and "exchange views on international and regional issues of common interest."
The two sides did not specify whether Wang would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but Kremlin spokesman Peskov said the day before that "we do not rule out a meeting" between Wang and Putin.
This is the first visit to the state by a top Chinese diplomat since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
