China's Foreign Ministry comments on Russia's intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on Russia's intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus. Beijing does not approve of this decision
This was stated at a press conference on March 27 by the Ministry's spokesperson Mao Ning.
"On January 5 last year, the leaders of the nuclear-weapon states issued a joint statement saying that it is impossible to win or wage a nuclear war. The statement emphasized that wars between the nuclear-weapon states should be avoided and strategic risks should be reduced," said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.
China also once again called for negotiations to "resolve the Ukrainian crisis."
