China rejects Ukraine’s claims of supplies to Russia as “baseless accusations”
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning denies Ukraine’s accusations that China supplies lethal weapons to Russia’s military industry
Ukrinform reported the information.
She responded to Oleh Ivashchenko, head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, who spoke about large-scale Chinese supplies to Russian military-industrial enterprises.
“We have never supplied lethal weapons to any party in the conflict and strictly control the export of dual-use goods,” Mao said.
She added that Ukraine knows China’s position on arms supplies to Russia.
Mao Ning stressed that China’s stance on the "Ukrainian issue" is clear and consistent, and the country is fully committed to promoting peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
“We are fully dedicated to advancing peace talks and ending the conflict,” she added.
The spokesperson also stressed that China strongly opposes "baseless accusations and political manipulations" related to its cooperation with Russia.
- Earlier, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, said that China supplies machine tools, special chemicals, gunpowder and components to Russian military enterprises.
