“Russia loves symbolism, but is not very good at it”: Ukrainian Navy on situation with missile carriers in Black Sea
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said that Russian missile carriers have not been in the Black Sea for four days
Pletenchuk said this on Espreso TV.
“The situation in the sea remains stable. We have not seen any Russian warships in the Black Sea for four days. In the Sea of Azov it is even longer. The enemy realizes that there is no point in keeping their vessels in the Sea of Azov. That's why we can say that the situation is fully controlled. Of course, the Russians are very fond of symbolism, but they are not very good at it,” said Pletenchuk.
The spokesman also provided details of the Defense Forces' strike on the Russian port of Kavkaz.
“Given where the ferry we destroyed sank, this paralyzes one of the two platforms for loading cars. In fact, there is nowhere to load them. Because two other Russian railroad ferries are not ready for operation. One of them is under repair, and the other, which was damaged, is anchored in the Sea of Azov awaiting repair,” he added.
- On August 23, the Ukrainian Navy officially confirmed the destruction of the Russian ferry Conro Trader in the port of Kavkaz in Krasnodar Krai.
