Belarusian airspace is not currently used for attacks on Ukraine - Air Force spokesman Ihnat

The spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat reported the information on the United News national telethon.

"No weapons have been launched from Belarus for a long time. I remember, perhaps, a few months ago, when Shahed drones were launched - they were flying along the Dnipro River to Kyiv region, and were shot down on the way. Now the airspace of Belarus is no longer used," Ihnat emphasized.

He added that Russian troops strike even the Kyiv region with S-300 and S-400 missiles. They launch them from the territory of Russia.

• On the night of March 9, Russian troops massively attacked Ukraine with missiles. As a result of the attack, critical infrastructure facilities in various regions were damaged, and civilians were killed and wounded. In particular, an infrastructure facility was hit in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, and in the Sviatoshynskyi district, 5 cars were completely destroyed and 15 others damaged. People were injured by missile fragments. 

• According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on March 9, Russian troops fired 84 missiles at the territory of Ukraine, 34 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

• The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, told Espreso TV that Russia had never launched as many Kinzhal missiles at Ukraine as in the night attack on March 9. He noted that Kinzhals are the most scarce missiles in the Russian army's inventory.
