Russian marauders transport looted property by trucks in Kherson region – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on March 9.

“In some settlements of the temporarily occupied Kherson region, Russian invaders are intensifying looting. The occupying forces are taking looted property and household appliances from Hola Prystan and Nova Zburivka by trucks that were earlier used to deliver ammunition to their units,” the report says. 

AFU destroyed 2 Russian logistics centers, 3 munitions depots, and an electronic warfare station over the day

Over the course of the day, missile and artillery units hit a Russian forces' control center, 6 military positions, 2 logistics centers, 3 ammunition depots, an electronic warfare station and an anti-aircraft missile system. 

In turn, Ukrainian aviation launched 7 strikes on the Russian troops' military positions and equipment over the day.

During the day, Russia fired 84 missiles at Ukrainian territory, 34 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

“In total, the enemy launched 84 missiles of various types during the day. 34 missiles were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders, and another 8 did not reach their targets,” the General Staff reports.

The enemy also launched 12 airstrikes, including 8 ones using Shahed-136 UAVs. Half of the drones were shot down.

In addition, Russian forces continue trying to surround the city of Bakhmut, with further access to the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. They are focusing their main efforts on offensives in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

Near the northern Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly. The Russian Federation maintains a military presence on the territory of Belarus, but no offensive groups have been detected. At the same time, according to the General Staff, the enemy continues to equip the border area in the Kursk region with engineering equipment.

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line: one settlement in the Chernihiv region, one more in the Sumy region, as well as 5 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

The situations in other Ukrainian regions:

• In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy is trying to break through the Ukrainian troops' defense. 8 settlements were attacked. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian enemy does not stop storming the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks in the areas of Bakhmut and Ivanivske. 7 settlements of the Donetsk region came under fire.

• In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of 9 settlements of the Donetsk region. 10 more localities came under fire. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian enemy is conducting defensive actions. 11 settlements near the contact line were subjected to enemy attacks. 

On the night of March 9, Russian forces unleashed another massive missile attack on Ukraine. Casualties were reported as well as damage to critical infrastructure.
