Belarus places wooden models of tanks along its border with Ukraine - Ukrainian Defence Ministry

Units of the Belarusian Armed Forces have placed wooden models of tanks in key areas bordering with Ukraine to demonstrate their presence

This was announced during a briefing by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.

"In order to carry out operational disguise measures and demonstrate their presence, units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are placing wooden models of tanks in the areas bordering Ukraine," said the Defence Ministry spokesman.

According to him, the combat readiness of the Belarusian armed forces is being checked until June 25. In addition, there is a threat of missile and air strikes from Belarus' territories.

Motuzyanyk added that up to seven Belarusian battalions continue to carry out tasks to strengthen the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Homel regions.

The main efforts are focused on conducting reconnaissance, engineering equipment positions and protection of the state border (conscripts are involved on duty).
