Ukrainian actor and soldier Yevhen Shumilov dies at front

Ukrainian theater and film actor, combat medic of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yevhen Shumilov died on April 30 while defending his wounded comrade-in-arms

This was informed by his close friend Ivan Marchenko on Facebook.

"Dear friends, it is with deep sadness that I would like to inform you that on April 30, my close friend Yevhen Shumilov died at the front defending his wounded comrade. Yevhen was a theater and film actor, he joined the Armed Forces two years ago and faithfully served and defended Ukraine," Marchenko wrote.

Yevhen has a mother and stepfather with disabilities. Antonio Lukic, the director of the films My Thoughts Are Quiet and Luxembourg, Luxembourg, also wrote about the death of the actor and warrior.

"I had the honor to work with him on the set, where he looked so piercingly and with such hope into the future. Thank you, Zhenia, and may you rest in peace," Lukic wrote.

Yevhen Shumilov starred in the TV series Real Mysticism, Sydorenky-Sydorenky, Agents of Justice, Material Evidence, and others. He served as a combat medic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
