This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a morning briefing on April 6.
The Russian enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.
Over the past day, April 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 60 Russian attacks.
Currently, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain the centers of fighting.
Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and 2 drones
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 17 strikes on the areas of the occupiers' personnel and military equipment concentration.
At the same time, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and 2 Orlan and Supercam UAVs.
Missile and artillery units hit 2 control points, 3 ammunition depots, 3 air defense positions and 4 Russian electronic warfare stations.
Russia launched 3 missile and 29 air strikes against Ukraine over one day
The likelihood of further missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
On April 5, Russia launched 3 missile strikes and 29 air strikes, firing 51 times from multiple launch rocket systems.
The situation in different directions
In the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of enemy offensive groups’ formation have been detected.
The Russian Federation continues to use the airspace and territory of the Republic of Belarus and its military infrastructure.
During the day, the Russian Federation fired at 3 settlements in Chernihiv region, 4 in Sumy region, and 10 in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, 8 settlements in Kharkiv region and 2 in Luhansk region came under enemy fire.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of 2 forestry districts.
Three localities in Luhansk region and five in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russia is trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut and continues to storm it. It also conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of 2 settlements over the past day.
Defense forces repelled about 20 attacks by the Russian army in this area.
Over 15 localities in Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.
In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the invading forces conducted offensive actions in the vicinity of 3 settlements in Donetsk region, but they were unsuccessful. They made more than 25 unsuccessful attacks near Marinka alone.
At the same time, 10 other localities came under enemy fire.
In the Vuhledar direction, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions over the last day. They actively used UAVs to adjust artillery fire.
They fired at 4 localities in Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian occupiers are strengthening their defensive lines and fortifications.
They fired at more than 35 settlements. Among them - 2 in Donetsk region; 6 in Zaporizhzhia region, and 10 in Kherson region.
Russian military have converted Mala Bilozerka hospital into a military hospital, with up to 80 soldiers undergoing treatment
The invaders continue to use the medical facilities of the temporarily occupied territories for their own purposes.
Thus, they have converted the local hospital in Mala Bilozerka, Zaporizhzhia region, into a military hospital. Currently, Russian doctors work in the civilian medical facility. They provide their services exclusively to Russian military personnel.
As of April 2 this year, about 80 invaders with injuries of varying severity were undergoing treatment.
