At least 33 combat engagements reported in frontline over past day – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

"Invading Russian forces are attacking in 5 frontline areas, with at least 33 combat engagements taking place over the last day," the General Staff reported. 

Russian army launched 12 airstrikes, about 29 MLRS attacks

During the day, the Russian forces launched another massive missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 3 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles, 4 Iskander land-based cruise missiles, 6 Oniks cruise missiles, 1 Kh-59 cruise missile and 1 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile.

In addition, Russia launched 12 airstrikes and 29 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. The Russian attacks resulted in deaths and injuries. Grain storage facilities in the south of Ukraine, industrial facilities were destroyed and damaged, and more than 70 civilian residential buildings and other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: over 15 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk direction, 5 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

In the Lyman direction, 6 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

In the Bakhmut direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

In the Avdiivka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

In the Marinka direction, over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 25 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

Defense Forces targeted the Russian manpower concentration area

Over the last day, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 13 strikes on the Russian military positions and 3 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian troops also struck a manpower concentration area, 2 artillery pieces at firing positions and an enemy electronic warfare station.

• On Friday, July 21, during a large-scale air raid in Ukraine, explosions were heard in the Odesa region: Russian forces struck an infrastructure facility in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. Two women were killed in the Chernihiv region.
