Almost 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in UK
On May 5, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and First Lady Olena Zelenska got a closer look at the training of the next group of Ukrainian military
Ukraine’s Prime Minister announced this on Telegram.
During their visit to London, Denys Shmyhal and Olena Zelenska met with the Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom, Ben Wallace.
"We have coordinated with Ben Wallace the steps necessary for our counteroffensive and to further strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities. We are systematically moving in this direction," Shmyhal wrote.
He also noted that the Ukrainian army is mastering NATO standards in practice - on the training field from experienced mentors and on the battlefield while fighting the enemy.
"We are grateful to the UK for launching Operation INTERFLEX to train the Ukrainian military with the participation of nine partner countries," the Prime Minister added.
