Two American officials reported this, according to the Associated Press.
According to the outlet, the aid package will include ammunition for HIMARS rocket artillery systems, 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, as well as anti-tank and small arms and grenades.
At the same time, one of the government officials noted that they could not verify whether the package contained ATACMS ballistic missiles, but assured that the aid did not include cluster munitions.
“The continued flow of U.S. munitions, which will be drawn from existing stockpiles, is intended to help Ukrainian forces repel intensified Russian attacks,” the outlet writes.
- The occupying Russian troops in Crimea reported explosions in different parts of Sevastopol on June 23. They claimed that the Russian air defense system shot down four ATACMS missiles, and at least three people killedю
