Trump likely to secure one or two Patriot systems for Ukraine — analyst
U.S. President Donald Trump arrived at the NATO summit in high spirits, as a winner
Vadym Denysenko, head of the analytical center Dilova Stolytsya (Business Capital), shared his opinions on Espreso TV.
“Unlike Putin, he (Trump – ed.) is not a sociopath, meaning he has a certain degree of empathy for people, and as strange as that may seem to us, given what we know and have heard about him even over the past four months, it’s true. On the other hand, we shouldn’t forget the emotional background on which Trump arrived in The Hague. He came here as a war winner. He came to the summit specifically to show: ‘I resolved the issue in the Middle East, and now I’m moving on to negotiations with the European Union,’” he noted.
Vadym Denysenko believes that after Donald Trump promised at the press conference to look for Patriot systems, he will keep his word.
“He hasn’t given so many compliments to various world leaders in a long time, and he was in a completely benevolent, not belligerent, mood. I think after this, he’ll probably try to secure one or two Patriot systems. In such cases, I believe he does try to follow through on his promises,” Denysenko remarked.
- On June 25, during a NATO summit press conference, Trump discussed the possibility of providing more Patriot systems to Ukraine.
