G7 pledges to strengthen Ukraine's air defense
Following the meeting in Cyprus, the G7 countries announced their intention to boost Ukraine's air defense
The G7 foreign ministers’ statement says this.
The foreign ministers of the G7 countries - Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the EU - and the EU High Representative reaffirmed their commitment to Ukraine's long-term security.
“We express our resolve in particular to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities to save lives and protect critical infrastructure,” the statement says.
The ministers, according to the statement, noted that they would work in this direction together with their partners.
“In this context we appreciate the Immediate Action for Air Defense Initiative (IAAD) proposed by Germany,” the statement says.
In addition, the G7 stated that it supports efforts aimed at helping Ukraine build a future armed forces capable of self-defense and deterring any aggression.
