AFU hit 9 Russian military positions and 4 control points, repel enemy attacks on 11 settlements

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on the morning of January 27.

On January 26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' units repelled Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ploshanka, Nevske, Chervopopivka, Luhansk region, and Verkhniokamianske, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Marinka, as well as Vuhledar, Donetsk region.

During the past day, Ukrainian aviation launched 8 strikes on the Russian forces' military positions, as well as a strike on the position of the anti-aircraft missile complex.

In addition, 3 enemy reconnaissance UAVs were shot down.

In turn, units of missile forces and artillery hit 4 control points, a Russian military positions, 2 artillery concentration areas, a munitions depot, as well as 2 other important enemy targets. 

Russia launched 70 missiles over Ukraine, and 47 of them were shot down

During January 26, the Russian troops launched 44 airstrikes, using UAVs of the Shahed-136 type. All 'kamikaze' drones have been shot down.

The enemy launched 70 rockets, 47 of which were destroyed, and 125 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.

As a result of enemy strikes, civilians were killed and civilian objects were destroyed.

The danger of airstrikes and missile strikes remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine.

Russia is building up an aviation group in Belarus under the guise of joint exercises

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and enemy offensive groups have not been detected.

However, joint training continues, under the guise of which the Russian Federation is building up an aviation group on the territory of Belarus.

Also, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with artillery: 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 2 more in the Sumy region, as well as 9 cities and villages in the Kharkiv region were shelled. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian enemy shelled 8 settlements in the Kharkiv region, one more in the Luhansk region, one village in the Donetsk region.

In the Lyman direction, 6 settlements of the Luhansk region and one more settlement of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, 10 settlements of the Donetsk region were damaged by fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, 6 settlements of the Donetsk region were fired upon.

In the Vuhledar direction, 3 settlements of the Donetsk region were damaged by enemy fire. 

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, more than 20 cities and villages were damaged by artillery fire. 

In the Kherson direction, invading Russian forever shelled the city of Kherson again.

• On January 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles: several regions reported the work of air defense. Ukraine's Air Defense Forces shot down more than 20 missiles in the direction of Kyiv. However, there are hits in some areas, and 11 killed are known. 

• On January 26, the Air Force of Ukraine's Armed Forces shot down 47 cruise missiles over Ukraine during a massive Russian missile attack. In total, the enemy launched 55 air- and sea-based missiles.
