Russian troops are focusing their main efforts on the offensive at the Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions.
Over the past day, the Defense Forces managed to repulse 58 Russian attacks in these directions.
Ukrainian aviation carried out 6 strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment positions.
6 enemy UAVs were shot down: 3 Lancet, 2 Zala, and 1 Supercam.
Units of missile troops and artillery struck 4 anti-aircraft missile systems, 11 manpower, weapons, and military equipment positions, ammunition depots, and 5 Russian radio electronic warfare stations.
Russian troops launch 4 missile strikes and 26 airstrikes, as well as 60 MLRS attacks
On April 9, Russians launched 26 air strikes and 4 missile strikes. Two rockets fired from the S-300 air defense system hit the objects of the civil infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia, civilians were killed and wounded, residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. Russians fired 2 missiles from the S-300 air defense system at the Kostyantynivka civil infrastructure facility in Donetsk region.
Russian troops also launched 60 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure. Civil infrastructure facilities in the cities of Kupiansk in Kharkiv region and Druzhkivka in Donetsk region were damaged as a result. There are injured civilians, and damaged residential buildings as well.
The probability of strikes remains throughout the territory of Ukraine.
Situation by directions
The operational situation in the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian borders remains unchanged. No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Russian troops remain present in the Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine. In the Kursk region's border areas, Russians are equipping the area.
Over the past day, the Russian Federation attacked 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 4 in the Sumy region, and 8 in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, 5 localities in the Kharkiv region came under hostile fire.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Dibrova on April 6.
Six localities in the Luhansk region and five in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, fierce fighting continues.
Over the past day, they conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of 2 settlements. Ukrainian defense forces repelled more than 30 enemy attacks in this area.
13 localities in the Donetsk region suffered from Russian shelling.
In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the Russian troops conducted offensive actions in the area of 6 settlements in Donetsk region, but they did not succeed.
The fiercest fighting in this area of the frontline is taking place near Avdiivka and Marinka, where 20 Russians’ attacks were repelled.
At the same time, 11 other localities came under enemy fire.
In the Vuhledar directions, the invading troops did not conduct any offensive actions during the day. They fired at 8 settlements in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian army continues to build up defensive lines and positions in terms of fortifications. More than 45 settlements were shelled.
