About USD 60 billion raised at Ukraine Recovery Conference in London – media
Participants in the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London on Wednesday and Thursday pledged an additional USD 60 billion for Kyiv's recovery and reconstruction needs
This is stated in the final document of the conference, according to European Pravda.
This amount includes, among other things, up to EUR 50 billion from the European Union's multi-year fund, USD 1.3 billion pledged by the United States, and 3 billion dollars in loan guarantees from the United Kingdom.
In turn, Switzerland announced additional support in the amount of CHF 1.5 billion until 2027, and France announced another EUR 40 million of assistance for Ukraine's immediate reconstruction in 2023.
The Multi-agency Donor Coordination Platform will continue to support the alignment of donor commitments with early recovery and reform priorities, according to the statement.
In addition, nearly 500 companies from 42 countries with a total value of assets of over USD 5.2 trillion and 21 sectors of the economy have already signed the so-called Ukrainian Business Compact, pledging to support Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.
Companies from around the world have agreed to work with Ukraine to help realize its enormous potential in priority sectors, including energy, technology, infrastructure and finance, and to apply their expertise to the development of Ukraine's private sector.
On June 21-22, a regular Ukraine Recovery Conference was held in London. It is a continuation of the annual Ukraine Reform Conferences that have been held since 2017.
