This is the first factor that encourages them to intensify attacks," the general explained.
Mykola Malomuzh spoke about the second factor - Russia's attempts to do as much damage to Ukraine as possible. This includes airfields, if we talk about Khmelnytskyi region. For example, the Lviv region has infrastructure projects. Odesa region - port facilities and grain terminals. And by targeting residential complexes, they aim to suppress the spirit of the Ukrainian people.
"A new stage is underway. The Russian Federation has accumulated and improved, for example, Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles, and of course, there were also Iskanders and Kalibrs. According to Ukrainian data, the Russians are also stockpiling Kinzhal missiles, about 120 missiles a month. Accordingly, when there is a potential, they launch complex strikes, but now with a new strategy. For example, today they attack specific cities or strategic-level targets, and then they sharply reorient to Ukrainian territory. They are guided by the fact that Ukraine will disorient its air defense systems somewhere and direct missile systems to the missile trajectories that they have shown. And in the last seconds, the missiles will change their directions and strike at specific targets or cities. We already know this tactic. These hostile missile attacks are a response to Ukraine's activity in Crimea and the Russian Federation," the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine emphasized.
Malomuzh added that, on the other hand, this is also a test before the autumn period, a probe of Ukraine's infrastructure, energy, oil depots and other systems that ensure the life and activities of Ukrainian citizens and the Armed Forces.
